In 2004, a group of promoters from the Roman music scene, which had been rapidly developing since the 1990s, came together to create a new experience fueled by music and passion.
From the very beginning, it was inclusive and open to many different styles and genres of music. On December 31, 2004, Amore Festival was born—a story with deep roots that spans generations, uniting them through the love of genuine fun.
On December 31, 2024, Amore will celebrate its 20th anniversary with a unique event at the Cinecittà World – Cinema and TV Theme Park. Inside the park, from 6 PM to 8 AM, the stages of Amore Festival will be set up, each dedicated to a different musical genre, featuring both Italian and international artists.
A historic anniversary and an unforgettable New Year’s Eve filled with music and entertainment: over 60 artists in DJ sets and live performances, 10 stages, 14 hours of music, 40 thrilling attractions, and 8 live shows. These are just some of the highlights of an event that will once again attract participants from all over Italy and abroad.
The first artist announced for “AMORE 025” is one of the great masters of techno, BEN SIMS—an acclaimed and highly sought-after DJ and producer. Having been absent from the festival’s lineup in the past, he will perform for the first time on the “Techno Rising” main stage as we ring in the new year.
Ben Sims is one of techno’s most exciting talents, a DJ who has stayed true to the genre’s funk, groove and electronic fused origins whilst continuing to embrace and nurture its development over the past 25 odd years.
Schooled on a diet of Hip Hop, Reggae, Soul, House and Rave in the 80’s, he played a huge part in defining British dance music in the 90s and continues to be an ardent champion of new music, producers and DJs via his many nights, record labels, radio shows, podcasts and relentless touring endeavors. As a DJ, Sims commands your attention, both visually and musically with anything from 3 to 5 decks running near constantly and hands, faders, effects and EQs a blur as tunes overlap to create a dense and quickly evolving collage of sound. Whether playing to 50, 500, or 5000 this unbridled energy and commitment to the art of mixing never falters and shows why Sims is regarded as one of the true masters on the circuit, both a DJ’s DJ and a straight-up party rocker in equal measures. In the studio, Sims has notched up over 50 original productions as well as countless remixes and edits in the past two decades. Embraced by techno’s originators and Detroit ambassadors he’s been, uniquely for a UK artist, called upon by Jeff Mills, Robert Hood and Kevin Saunderson for remixes as well as contributing to the majority of influential European labels from Mote Evolver to Drumcode to Cosmic to Token via Tresor, CLR, and his own (now completed) Theory imprint.
Most recently, his disco/house leanings have birthed Ron Bacardi, an alias that has quickly established itself and resulted in 12”s dropping on Bass Culture, Karlovak, Way Back Wednesday and Hardgroove.
Outside of the studio and club, the dedication, enthusiasm and search for the next great record/talent continues. His monthly Run it Red radio show on NTS Live is devoted to new music, his club night, Machine (co-founded with Kirk Degiorgio), was set up to only showcase new music and his label activities, currently taking in Symbolism and Hardgroove, continue to provide rock solid platforms for new producers whilst also showcasing his own studio experiments. Never resting on his laurels, Sims continues to challenge himself at every turn. From a succession of dynamic b2b sets with other highly respected Techno DJs like DVS1, James Ruskin, ROD or Truncate, through his small-room b2b club night Kabuki, countless label/release projects, or a devotion to actively seeking out interesting club nights to play alongside the tried and tested, there’s always something fresh to get excited about with Ben Sims and you can trust that when the current boom (and its converts) move on, he’ll still be here, doing his thing and pushing his vision of techno.

Alessandro Dilillo, known professionally as Noize Suppressor, is an Italian hardcore producer and DJ recognized for his relentless energy and innovative approach to the hardcore and gabber genres. Born and raised in Rome, Dilillo developed a passion for electronic music in the mid-1990s, particularly in the aggressive and fast-paced sounds of hardcore techno. He began experimenting with electronic music production, taking influences from the underground rave scenes of Europe and the Netherlands, where the hardcore sound was thriving.
In 1996, Noize Suppressor emerged as a powerful force in the hardcore scene. His hard-hitting sound, characterized by pounding kick drums, distorted melodies, and chaotic energy, quickly earned him recognition in Italy and beyond. Throughout the late ’90s, he performed at local clubs and raves, building a strong reputation as a skilled producer and live performer.
Noize Suppressor’s breakthrough came in the early 2000s when he began releasing tracks on renowned hardcore labels such as Masters of Hardcore and Traxtorm Records. His tracks were well received, and his unique blend of raw, industrial hardcore with a futuristic edge set him apart from other producers in the scene. His dynamic live performances, which often featured live mixing and real-time production, further cemented his status as a key player in the hardcore genre. He was also known for his collaboration with other hardcore artists such as DJ Mad Dog, Tha Playah, and Angerfist. Noize Suppressor’s live shows became an essential part of major hardcore festivals like Masters of Hardcore, Dominator, and Defqon.1.
Noize Suppressor is known for his intense, high-tempo beats, aggressive synths, and distorted vocals. His music often has a dark, dystopian atmosphere, with pounding rhythms and anthemic melodies designed to energize massive crowds. He consistently pushes the boundaries of sound design within hardcore, integrating new technologies and production techniques to create fresh, cutting-edge tracks.
What sets Noize Suppressor apart from many other hardcore producers is his focus on live performance. He pioneered a “live-act” style of DJing, using hardware and software in real time to remix and produce tracks on stage. This approach transformed his shows into immersive and unpredictable experiences.

The Colombian artist brings over 20 years of unwavering dedication to electronic music and club culture. She remains a recognised standard-bearer, celebrated not only for her productions but also for her DJ sets, where she unfolds her broad, rich, and comprehensive vision of techno with vivacity, never conforming to any conventional sound.
“Bogotá-born, Barcelona-based techno purist and skill icon, Adriana Lopez, has been a scene-wide inspiration for over two decades now and creates an exceptional, atmospheric momentum with every performance…” – Stone Techno Festival, 2023.
The DJ, producer, and label head has showcased her distinctive style of raw, hypnotic, and driving techno through releases on labels known to nurture this sound, such as Spanish labels PoleGroup and Semantica, as well as Stroboscopic Artefacts, Modulars, BPitch and her own label, Grey Report.
Adriana embarked on her music career in the late ’90s, starting in her hometown of Bogota. During this time, she cut her teeth holding down residencies at prominent clubs like BarC, La Sala, and Cinema, while also showcasing her talent across various cities in her native country. In 2003, she relocated to Barcelona, which opened up a global touring schedule with performances at top clubs and festivals worldwide.
“With such a strong commitment and determination to her artistic vision and an outright refusal to conform to any trends, Adriana stands as a pillar for strength and authenticity. With flawless technical prowess, she captivates audiences with her signature blend of physical and dark techno and her sound resonates with us on a profound level, striking the perfect balance between power and subtlety but avoiding over-the-top antics and overwhelming textures.” – Basilar Festival 2023.
With years of experience behind her, Adriana’s deep understanding of techno is evident in her high quality and tasteful selections: mixing records with a technical finesse that has led to appearances at the likes of Berghain and Tresor (Berlin), fabric (London), Concrete and Rex (Paris), Elysia (Basel), Grelle Forelle (Vienna), Lux Fragil (Lisbon), Khidi (Tbilisi), Fabrik (Madrid), Input and Razzmatazz (Barcelona), Basement (New York), Vent (Tokyo), Faust and Vurt (Seoul), Awakenings Festival (Hilvarenbeek), Stone Techno Festival (Essen), XRDS Festival (Brussels), DGTL Festival (Barcelona, Madrid), Rainbow Serpent Festival (Lexton) and many more.
“Her sound is dark yet groovy, its rhythm and energy offer pure escapism. It’s hard to find a more dedicated, consistent and skillful approach to DJ’ing…” – fabric, London.

Deniro, a DJ and producer and label owner of TAPE RECORDS AMSTERDAM.
Deniro – a producer pur sang. Synthesizers are his way to communicate with the world. Deniro has been gradually emerging from the Dutch techno scene as one of the most exciting artists in Europe.
His music, markedly emotional and with roots in Detroit inspired soul music, reflects over 15 years of isolation exploring his vintage machinery to then appear in the catalogues of labels such as трип, TOKEN, Dekmantel, DGTL Records, Oblique Music or Tape Records Amsterdam of which he is heavily bounded. But it is also in the booth that he has proved to be an excellent sound architect, with sets that go beyond genres and whose contagious groove irrevocably binds us to the dance floor.
Besides making music, he loves to travel and share his view of the deeper classic house and 90’s up-tempo techno sounds. After high-profile (inter)national gigs at Dekmantel Festival, Printworks London, Awakenings and Reaktor he is not done sharing and is more than ready to let his music be heard everywhere.

It was the elder one of the brothers, Dario, who first found his way into Munich’s flourishing scene of electronic dance music during the late nineties. He was a huge fan of Hip Hop and Dub when he stumbled into the neon lights of the omnipresent Goa parties that got staged in many clubs. His first set of turntables was a gift from his parents at the age of fifteen and he quickly found himself at the other side of the dance floor. In 2006 his younger brother Marco, who also was an enthusiastic supporter of Hip Hop and Reggae music – apart from being quite a talented skateboarder -, went to see Dario perform and fell in love with the unique vibe of Techno and House parties. This night was a crucial turning point in any sense.
It was only a question of time when these two artists and brothers would canalise their creativity and start to work together. In 2007 they founded the label Ilian Tape with some long lasting friends, in order to establish a platform for their own productions, and in 2012 they started playing their notorious B2B sets. Rooted in the legacy of Detroit and Techno, House, Dub, Rap Music and Breakbeats, the two brothers managed to define their own trademark sound over the years with their own productions, and their own way of running a label by building a fundament with patience. Besides focusing on Ilian Tape they have released records on such notable labels as Tresor or 50 Weapons. In 2015 they released their first album called Immersion, which was the next natural step and heart project after they moved their two bedroom studios together in 2013. In 2020 their second album “Cosmic Transmission” was released and Marco’s first solo album “Channel Balance” came out in 2022 followed by Dario’s first solo album „Reflection“in 2023. In 2021 Dario & Marco, in close cooperation with Klaus Arnold, launched Tangible Air, a mastering & mixing studio. Since 2021 all records on Ilian Tape were mastered by them.
Brothers Dario and Marco – the Zenker Brothers – have pushed the boundaries of techno perception with their studio work and the prolific roster of artists produced on their label, including names such as Skee Mask, Surgeon, Deetron and Stenny. Their monthly residency at the Blitz Club in Munich has become one of the reference parties of the scene and an unmissable event for many fans from all over the world. As well as many of the DJ sets of their extensive world tours capable of touching cult clubs such as Fabric in London, Berghain and Tresor in Berlin.
The brothers never forget their roots, where they came from and the essential meaning of a well-known Munich proverb: “Live and let live”, so furthermore they transcend the musical legacy of their hometown into the new millennium, shaping and forming it the Zenkerian way towards something very unique and – even more important – connective.
